To change the way Cambodian micro-entrepreneurs approach finance. By offering a simple, affordable and accessible bookkeeping solution, we are supporting Cambodia’s micro entrepreneurs to scale their businesses through increased financial acumen and improved access to funding.

The largest contributing factor for emerging economies is the scaling of micro businesses into small businesses. SMEs are critical for promoting inclusive economic development and poverty reduction in developing countries. There is huge, untapped potential in the informal, unregistered micro economy.One of the major barriers to the growth and scaling of micro business in Cambodia is access to finance.
Access to finance
The major barriers to accessing finance include the absence of financial statements, lack of available financial information on borrowers and asymmetric information between micro businesses and financial institutions.
Lack of tools
Maintaining bookkeeping records and separating business finances from personal is crucial for micro-entrepreneurs in accessing sustainable finance to grow and scale their businesses.
With low levels of education and financial literacy, no tools currently exist to support the bookkeeping needs of Cambodian micro-entrepreneurs.

Our Partner
Khmer Enterprise (KE), with the support of the Ministry of Economy and Finance is established as an implementation unit to provide the support programs and directly work with partners and beneficiaries of the entrepreneurship ecosystem in Cambodia. It aims to mobilize, invest and manage resources, from all legitimate sources, to support the development of a vibrant entrepreneurial ecosystem and to provide financial and non-financial support to related entrepreneurial ecosystem builders. Khmer Enterprise has vision to become the national platform for promoting entrepreneurial activities.
This innovation is supported by the Women MSME FinTech Innovation Fund, Implemented by The United Nations Capital Development Func (UNCDF) and the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (UNESCAP) in partnership with the Australian Government (DFAT), the Dutch development Bank (FMO), and Visa Inc, with the financial support from the Government of Canada provided through Global Affairs Canada.
SHE (Support Her Enterprise) is a social Enterprise in Cambodia. We support women with micro, small and growing businesses to scale, creating social and economic impact for communities. Our goal is a gender balance in the Small – Medium Enterprise (SME) sector: more women running larger, sustainable, and impactful businesses.
